Saturday, September 19 is our Rise Against Hunger event. We will pack just over 10,000 meals. We are holding the event in the morning this year so shifts available are 7:30 AM to noon. This event is part of our Family Weekend so Schreiner students and their parents will also be helping us pack meals. Rise Against Hunger will be held in the new Edington Sports Performance Complex (Formerly known as Edington Gym), across from the Logan Library, on the campus of Schreiner University. Our shifts are as follows:
7:30 AM to 9:00 AM for event set up
9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for meal packing
10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for meal packing
11:00 AM to noon for event clean up
We need about 15 people for set up, as many as 60 for each meal packing shift and then 15 for tear down and clean up.

<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>The Hunt School Fall Carnival will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 5pm - 8pm. The Rotary Club of Kerrville will have a booth for the 2nd year in supporting this event.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>The Rotary Booth will have two Corn Hole Games for children to play with prizes awarded for participation and expertise. The Toys for Tots program in San Angelo has graciously agreed to donate prizes for those participating. We were referred to them by the director of West Texas Lighthouse for the Blind, as they were supportive of the July 4th flood in 2025.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Mari Mejia is doing a great job of coordinating this event. We could really use more Rotarians to interact with the kids and cheer them on when they play! Please consider helping our club be represented at this event and within the Hunt community.</strong></span></p> <p> </p>
