Family in Rotary

I'm happy  to report that our  longtime member Carol Nagle is up and around after a long siege from a fall followed by surgery and rehab.  She send her best regards and says that she hopes to be back among us very soon.

Still on the health scene, I'm happy to report that Mike Huff is pretty well recovered from his recent surgery.

I'm also glad to report that our extended Family in Rotary continues to excel on the athletic fields.  Nick Hagigholam, the son of our member Hagi, was named to the All-District team on defense, along with a long list of his Tivy Antler teammates, including Most Valuable on Offense Cade Dyal and Most Valuable on Defense Cameron Melcher.

Congratulations are in order for our Past President Kenneth Early, on his new executive position with Roy Thompson's bank.

Finally, I want to put in a strong recommendation: if you haven't signed up for our team of Salvation Army bell-ringers, let me urge you to do so.  It's fun, and it's for a good cause.  I know that some say that there are other good causes such as Paul Harris Fellowships and the Red Cross, to name just a couple, but I've read the Four-Way Test closely, and IO can attest that there's absolutely nothing in the Four-Way Test that limits a Rotarian to one Worthy Cause per year.  So please sign up, and if the Gibson's lists are full, there are plenty of other great locations -- Belk's and Wal-Mart, to name just two.
