Don't forget the Rotary annual picnic is this Wednesday afternoon, starting with happy hour  at 5:15 and a fajita dinner at 6:00. Location is at the Robbins Lewis Pavilion on the Schreiner University campus.  There will not be a noon meeting Wednesday.

Bob Fairchild was wearing his Rotary pin at the last meeting and won a bottle of wine.

Donate at least $25 to the Rotary Foundation and receive a FREE Rotary Club of Kerrville Baseball Cap!  This week we will again have cruise tickets for sale.  Buy three ($30) and you not only enter to win a cruise, but you can pick up your customized Rotary Cap!  Working on getting 100% participation.  We cannot do it without your help!  We take cash and checks!!!

Our Literacy and Water Safety Education Project started last Fridays Friday  in CenterPoint.  Then, later in May we will be at Tally, Nimitz, Tom Daniels and Starkey within KISD.  We are also scheduling readings at Notre Dame, Harper, Hunt and Ingram elementary schools!  Do you want to help?  Let me know and I can put you in touch with the Rotarian who is making it happen at one of these schools!  You can participate for 30-45 minutes or 2 hours ... would love to have more readers and assistants!

Ready for our last Habitat for Humanity build?  It will be Saturday, May 19th starting at 8am.  We would love to have a large turnout for this day - you can wear your new Rotary Cap and save your shirt for the next event!  RSVP to Rob or Rebecca Poindexter!

Kristy just received a great email from our International President, Ian Riseley, about the Tree Planting Initiative.  There is still time to plant a tree before June 30th!  Right now we are still encouraging everyone to plant one - and we are at 176 planted!  More members = More trees!  Come on ... get in on the fun!
