Grey Faldyn provided more information about the Centennial Celebration of our club next year. There will be a club project benefitting a local non profit, so if you have a project in mind for this, please contact Greg over the next couple of weeks.

Scholarships awards were presented at Tivy High School on April 30, and our Rotary club awarded seven (7) two thousand dollar scholarships at the awards ceremony. This is a great example of how our club fund raisers benefit local students in their pursuit of college or trade school.

The Veterans Breakfast was a great success, with about 93 Veterans and 20 Rotarians attending.

The annual Picnic will be May 7 at the River Star Arts and Event Park. This takes the place of the regular noon meeting that day.

Josh the Otter presentations are ongoing at several local elementary schools, and this teaches water safety to school age students. Please consider volunteering for this valuable community service. Stockton Williams announced that for the Starkey Elementary presentations, the times have changed to 1:30 and 2:10 instead of in the morning, due to other scheduled field trips.

The annual Citizenship Awards program is June 4.
