John Wells, publisher of the Kerrville Daily Times, provided the program last Wednesday.
The newspaper's number of subscriptions is growing, both in digital and paper format, and it strives to be a community newspaper. Local features include the Hill Country Culture Magazine, Athlete of the month, Mutt Madness, several new local columnists and weekly stories on local education and businesses. 
Sherri Jones led us in the Invocation and pledge.
 
Bobby Templeton, Ingram ISD superintendent,  was recognized for the Ingram schools receiving an "A" rating from the Texas Education Agency.
 
Ed Hamilton was recognized for his military service. He was a USAF Lieutenant Colonel, and served tours in Europe and Vietnam, flying an AC-130 cargo plane and also was a helicopter pilot.
 
At our last meeting, we learned about the history of Women in Rotary, and honored their contributions to our club.

The Paul Harris awards are named after of one of the founding members of Rotary.  The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
 
President Kristi recently inducted three new members to the Rotary Club of Kerrville.
John Wells is the publisher of the Kerrville Daily Times. Ronnie DeWitt is the owner of the local Budget Blinds store. Tomas Valdez is former member, and is the owner of the local restaurant 1011 Bistro. Welcome new members!

The Main Event Caino Night is scheduled for March 29 at Comanche Trace. This is our once a year main fundraiser. Silent auction items are needed, so please consider donating items and volunteering for this event. Wine, beer or spirits are needed for a raffle, so if you can donate any of these, please contact Woody Lockhart.
Josh the Otter water safety program is coming up in May, and volunteers are needed to help with the program at local elementary schools. You can sign up via the Clubrunner website.
 
The Annual Rotary Picnic is scheduled for May 7.
 
Youth Citizenship awards program is June 4.
 
Plans are underway for the 100 year anniversary of our Rotary Club.  Greg Faldyn provided updates on the planning for this celebration, which will culminate on February 26, 2026, with a catered dinner at the Schreiner University ballroom. In the months leading up to the event, information will be provided to local media about Rotary's history in Kerrville. A fundraising project in honor of this milestone will benefit a local organization or community need. If you have any suggestions for a beneficiary for this fund raiser, please contact Greg.
 
George Eychner led us in singing Happy Birthday to members whose birthday is in March.
