At our last meeting of this year, our club was treated to Christmas music by the Hill Country Chorale.
Rotarian and Chorale member Carol Holmes introduced the show. They have been busy this season with numerous concerts in the area.
Wayne Uecker was awarded his Paul Harris + 8 award.
Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognition is given in appreciation to anyone who contributes a gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus or Humanitarian Grant programs that sustain and advance The Rotary Foundation’s humanitarian, educational and cultural programs.
Our club has been busy ringing the bell for the Salvation Army's kettle campaign. Thank you to all who have rung the bell to raise money for this cause. Ashley Phillips reminded us there is a friendly competition to see which service club or organization can rasie the most money. Rotary is currently in first place, so keep ringing!
Carol Holmes was wearing her Rotary pin when her name was drawn, so she won a bottle of wine. Wine team members Woody Lockhart and Bill Tucker provided the wine color commentary.
Kristy Vandenberg provided the invocation and pledge at the last meeting of the year.
Long time Rotary member Doug Whinnery passed away recently. Doug was a past president of the club, and also a district governor. Please keep Sue in your prayers.
George Eychner led us in singing a song in Doug's honor.
Cecil Atkission provided a toast to Doug.
