Family in Rotary

     

 

   The first thing I want to do is correct an omission from last Wednesday's report.   I failed to include two of our members who were among the musicians who presented such an impressive performance of Mozart's Requiem at the Frist Presbyterian Church.  Dr. Jay Dunnahoo was in the First Violin section, and Rick Assunto was singing in the combined choir.   Kudos to both, as well as to lead trumpeter George Eychner, who was credited earlier. .

 

       It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the courthouse, thanks to Rotarians George Eychner, Kyle Bond and Austin Kuhn.  They got the trees for the Christmas Forest out of storage at the airport and brought them into town, where they'll be decorated later.  Speaking of Christmas decorations, kudos go to Betty Vernon and her crew from the Cailloux Foundation for decorating the light poles around Peterson Plaza and City Hall.

 

       And I  hope that everyone saw the five-column spread, with color photos, in the Daily Times on our success if raising a very large sum of money for the fight against polio, with our Pints for Polio event.  If you see that news release in other papers, please bring clippings to President Stephaie for her official scrapbrook.  Many thanks.
