     Family in Rotary

I have a need for prayers to share with you this week: Lloyd and Ingrid Painter flew to California after last week's meeting, after getting word that Lloyd's mother was on life support.  Please keep the Painters and their family in your prayers; Lloyd sent word that they plan to be back in Kerrville this weekend.

On a more upbeat note, I'm happy to point out that our Family in Rotary is growing: our member and Spoke Editor Jimmy Hutto got married last Satruday. The ceremony was conducted by our on rotarian Jeff Anderson  Our warmest congratulations go to Jimmy and his lovely bride.  I wonder how many people besides myself remember the hit song, "I'll Dance at Your Wededing?"

I'm glad to recognize Alain Peralt, the eldest son of our member Janelle and her husband Patrick -- and a visitor to our meetings -- who was inducted into the National Honor Society at Our Lady of the Hillls High School.

And I have a footnote to last week's report.  Those of you who were here may remember that the Family in Rotary Report included a mention of our member Hagi's son Nick, as a 230-pound defensiv lineman on the Tivy Antlers football team.  Since the meeting, I've heard from the proud father, who confirmed that Nick is the first member of their family to play American football.  Since Nick is a junior, we may hear more of him in the future.  And Hagi sent his best.
