BCFS with Kathleen and Brenda

Kathleen Maxwell-Rambie and Brenda Thompson gave us an update on the BCFS organization, which helps youth and families in need across the Hill Country. Beneficiaries include youth aging out of foster care, youth in the juvenile justice system, families, and teens with an unstable home life. Services include counseling, education, life training skills and more.
Brenda explained that new Resource Center Building on Broadway in Kerrville provides one stop shopping for education, employment and transportation for Non Profits in the area. There is a large training room available, computer labs for GED Studying and job searching, and a kitchen and a washer/dryer to help kids learn some of the basic skills needed to take care of themselves. Current tenants include Art 2 Heart, Families in Literacy, Hill country Ministries, New Hope Fellowship, Freedom Loans, Community Partner Program, Goodwill (career director), Young People in Recovery, VA Dogs if Texas, New Hope Counseling, and Partners in Christ- Center for Counseling and coaching for relationships, life and marriage
