First of all, I want to correct an omission from last week. Barry Cannon is back home in the Hill Country after surgery in Houston. Welcome home, Barry.
Condolences go to the family of a Past District Governor, Gene Dietert, who served in that post in 1990-1991. Governor Dietert died from a heart attack last weekend. Our Past District Governor and Past President Doug Whinnery, and Past President Sue Whinnery, will represent us at the Services in Seguin on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Congratulations go to our club member Phyllis Ricks and her family as their company celebrates 68 years of selling furniture here and in Del Rio.
I hope that everyone saw the news release on our perfect attendance awards, complete with three-column photo of Past District Governor Doug Whinnery and Past Presidents Bob Schmerbeck and George Eychner, thanks to David Martin. If you see that in other publications, please bring the clippings to President Stephanie for her Official Scrapbook.
