Events

We will be presenting the Josh the Baby Otter Water Safety Program to the Leakey Elementary second and third graders on May 9th, 2024, at 9 AM.  Sara Cotton is the Lead.  We will need about 4 volunteers.

We will provide the Josh the Bay Otter Water Safety Program at the Hill Country Youth Ranch Brune Chart campus at about 1 PM.  Ann Vaughan is the lead.

We will present the Josh the Baby Otter Water Safety Program to the Second and Third graders at 1:30 AM and 1:15 PM respectively.  Kristy Vandenberg is leading these sessions.  We will need about six volunteers, so please sign up.

We will present the Josh the Baby Otter Water Safety Program to the Second and Third graders at 1:20 PM and 10 AM respectively.  Yes - this is a slight conflict with our Rotary meeting that day, so we will need to leave the meeting early.  Stockton Williams is leading these sessions.  We wil need about six volunteers, so please sign up.

We will be presenting the Josh the Otter Water Safety Program to the third graders at 1:30 PM and second graders at 2:00 PM.  Judy Eychner will be leading this session.  We will need about 6 volunteers, so please sign up.

Rotary will support the UGRA 21st Annual River Clean Up.  Meet at the old G-Street Bridge at 8 AM where we will pass out your UGRA supplies.  Our segment will be the River Trail from the old G-Street to the Schreiner University Trailhead Beer Garden.  Please sign up on the ClubRunner registration, so that we know you are coming.  For Liability and Logistical (ex. T-Shirt) reasons, YOU MUST ALSO SIGN UP BY JULY 5th ON THE UGRA WEBSITE  AT THE LINK TO THE LEFT SIDE.

The 2024 Kerrville Chamber Expo will be held Friday August 2nd from 5pm-7:30pm and Saturday August 3rd from 10am-3pm.  This event is held at the Happy State Bank Expo Center.

On Friday night, the event is paired with the area Wine Share - so much to drink & eat, so little time!

Volunteers are needed to staff the Rotary Booth both days and all hours.  Be prepared to talk to attendees about Rotary and what it means to you.  Encourage individuals to sign up for the raffle.  Encourage them to attend a meeting or service project with you.  Be your charming, hospitable self!  Share why the 4 Way Test is so important and all the great things that the Rotary Club of Kerrville accomplishes!  

Contact Brenda Thompson at brendathompson@dietertcenter.org to volunteer.  We need 2-3 volunteers for each 1 hour shift!

The Rotary IMPACT Club of Kerrville will be getting together monthly starting in August for socials to socialize and talk about important stuff!  We wanted to let all Rotarians know about this as everyone is invited.

The first social will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 5:30pm at Pint and Plow.  

There is no set agenda, just time to come together and perhaps talk with other members about what's important in your life and how you can fulfill your service passion!

So, if you don't have a better offer - join the group on Aug 15th!  Hope to see you there!

FYI ... future dates are listed below.  All months except August, the social will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at a local watering hole.  Mark your calendars!

Join Rotary Club of Kerrville for a morning of fun and fellowship on Labor Day, September 2, 2024 in Louise Hays Park. There will be a water safety demonstration for children and we will be supporting Kerrville Pets Alive with a food drive. It is free to participate and participants will get a free event t-shirt while supplies last. Of course there will be coffee!! We start at 8 am and wrap up by noon. Come one come all!

Join us in welcoming our new members! Open to all Rotarians and their guest. RSVP is necessary for planning food. Be prepared to mix and mingle and meet someone new you haven't met before!!!  Food, drinks, Fellowship and FUN!!

Join Rotary Club of Kerrville and Schreiner University as we celebrate Family Weekend on Saturday, September 21, by packing 15,120 meals to help combat hunger! We will be in the Mountaineer Fitness Center on the campus of Schreiner University. We need help from noon to 1 with set up; 1 to 2 for meal packing, 2 to 3 for meal packing and 3 to 4 for tear down and clean up.

Help Kerrville put its best foot forward by welcoming our guests and participants for the Kerrville Triathlon. Rotary Club of Kerrville has a shift from noon to 3:30 at Inn of the Hills on Saturday, September 28 to help get participants registered and pick up their packets. We are in the cool indoors!!
