Lee Hereford provided the program last Wednesday on the Pedernales Brewing Company. Located in Fredericksburg, the company is founded on the tenants of the Rotary four way test and the 12 points of the Scout's Law. That formula has worked so far, judging by the success the brewery has enjoyed. The first shipment of beer began in 2012, and distribution has steadily increased since then. They have won numerous national and international beer competitions recently, including gold medals as the best beer in class. Pedernales Brewing Company makes the Robert Earl Keen Honey Pilsner, which has become so popular it accounts for 45% of their production. Coming soon: a Robert Earl Keen Front Porch Amber Ale.

As a side note, Lee played football at Conroe High School, and one year in the playoffs their opponent was Tyler High School, who happened to have a running back named Earl Campbell.  Conroe lost a close game, but later they were complimented by Earl, saying that was the toughest game he ever played.
