The Rotary club hosted its latest Habitat for Humanity work day this past Saturday, January 21, 2017.  A big thanks to all who have supported this great cause, and especially to Rob and Rebecca Poindexter for the leadership role they've taken in the project.

Keep your eye out for the next workday coming this spring. Rob and Rebecca can use all the help we can give.  Remember, it's fine if you can't commit to the full work day - any amount of time you can give is needed and appreciated!  And you don't need any construction experience or special skills to be able to help.  Habitat staff will find a task that suits your abilities or instruct you in how to accomplish something new to you.

Please call with any questions!

P.S. Our next, next workday will entail repairing my roof, which was damaged by the high winds this weekend, and now resembles something more like a fruit roll-up or burrito than the flat structure you'd expect (just kidding - but if you want to see a picture, I included one below)!  All together, my family was blessed that the damage was somewhat limited to one side of the house and that everyone remained safe.  Yeah for good insurance!
